Europe Travel

Traveling to Europe? If you are back packing through various points of interest or planning on using the Euro-Rail to travel by train through Europe, consider travel insurance when developing your budget. Don’t be afraid! It’s affordable for any traveler and in the long run will keep you safe rather than sorry. When deciding on what to include in your insurance package consider including the following in your plan:

Cancellation: Perhaps you develop a sickness before you leave and cannot begin your journey. You want to claim the money that was spent on tickets and other costs prior to departure. To do this you have to buy your insurance policy when you buy your trip. Not all insurance policies cover cancellation, so be patient and do some research.

Lost or Stolen Gear: Whether your camera was stolen in Paris or the airport in Germany lost your bags, the majority of travel insurance policies will only cover a portion of your items if they are stolen or misplaced. Make sure its high enough to cover your gear or choose a policy that allows you to increase the limit. Medical expenses over and above evacuation: Make sure you include emergency treatment while away and transport to bring you home in your policy. Many agencies will insist you get transported home if you are in a foreign hospital for a lengthy period of time, so it is beneficial to have your services and transportation home covered.

Adventurous Activities: Planning on doing some skiing or snowboarding in Austria? Or maybe your concidering mountain biking in Spain. No matter where you choose to become adventurous, consider being insured for your extreme adventures. Do some research into what your policy covers. You may find that some of your activities are not covered in your package.

Personal Liability: It’s Possible!! If an Accident happens and you find yourself being sued, you want coverage. It's a good idea to get travel insurance when journeying to Europe whether your stay is one week or one month. Health care is considerably expensive, especially if you end up in the hospital without proper coverage. Consider applying for a European Health Insurance Card.
